Time: Anytime between 5 - 7 PM; This is an informal, drop-in event

Cost: FREE

Drop by anytime between 5 and 7 PM on Tuesday, March 2nd to be the 1st to try the next great wines from Oregon. Scott Nagle will be here from the winery to pour Trisaetum’s best Rieslings and Pinot Noirs. Cost is FREE! In early 2006, James Frey teamed with Josh Bergstrom to begin work on the design of Trisaetum’s winery. From the outset, the goal was to construct a facility that allows a winemaker to blend old world tradition and new world innovation. After several months and nine drafts, a floor plan and design philosophy were eventually turned into the 13,000 square foot facility that exists today. The winemaking team of James Frey and Greg McClellen (along with wine consultant Josh Begrstrom) are fortunate to have at their disposal a wide array of tools to craft Trisaetum’s distintive Pinot Noirs and Rieslings.Trisaetum falls under the category of ultra boutique because of their miniscule production. The Pinot Noirs are pure and complex, and the Rieslings are rich, focused and beautifully balanced. All wines are made exclusively from estate grown fruit.

Sit Down with the Sommelier – Michael Dinn of Joie Farms
Date: Tuesday, March 16th, 2010
Time: 7 to 9 PM

Tickets: $35

Joie is arguably making Canada’s best wines from aromatic varieties like Riesling and Gewurztraminer. We’re fortunate here are CSN to sit down with Michael Dinn from the winery as he leads us through a tasting of the line-up from Joie Farms. Joie Farms is a perfect fit for CSN as they produce small quantities of hand-crafted wines, where the focus is on acheiving purity and balance. Come and taste what all of the fuss is about.

Wine 101 - CSN’s Famous Intro to Wine Class
Date: Tuesday, March 30th, 2010
Time: 7 to 9 PM

Tickets: $35

CSN’s Wine 101 class is for those who are looking for a basic understanding of all things vino, and who are looking to get familiar with the wine world’s most common styles of wine. Our Wine Manager Eric Southward, an Accredited Sommelier and Instructor with the International Sommelier Guild will give you the tools to navigate yourself through any wine shop, or wine list. And did we mention you’ll be tasting some fantastic wine!?

A Night with Masi - 1 Famous Winery, 2 Countries
Date: Tuesday, April 6th, 2010
Time: 7 to 9 PM

Tickets: $50

Join us for an epic night as we taste through the wines of one of the Veneto’s reference points for great wine – Masi. We’ll sit down and taste through their range of Amarones, and learn about what’s going on with their project in Argentina. If you like great Amarone, you won’t want to miss this one. The Boscaini family has owned Agricola Masi since the late 18th century, their winery and vineyards based around the city of Verona in the Veneto region of northeast Italy. The company has grown its Veneto vineyards substantially over the years, but has been expanding its operations in other Italian regions, managing an historic estate in Valpolicella, involved in a joint venture in Trentino, high on the Austrian border, and then developing a wine estate in Tuscany called Poderi del Bello Ovile. But the company’s expansion took an altogether more unexpected turn when it created Masi Tupungato, making wines in Mendoza, Argentina.
